A Fun Music Alphabet Composing Name Game

You line up the letters of the music alphabet to the letters in the rest of the alphabet:

ABCDEFG of course remain the same. Then continue repeating the music alphabet so that each letter of the alphabet has a corresponding music note:

H=A
I=B
J=C
K=D
L=E
M=F
N=G
etc.

For example the name "JIM" would translate to "CBF." Then play the notes wherever you want, find a fun rhythm and go from there! You can even use it for any word. One of my students suggested "humuhumunukunukuapua'a" - Hawaii's state fish. That would translate to "AGFGAGFGGGDGGGDGABGAA"

Lots of G's and A's to have fun with octaves and rhythms!
